Spread the love

If you are reading this post you are more than likely dissatisfied with your life or job. Therefore, you want to know more about the law of attraction. Well, you are in the right place. Today’s post will focus on the Law of Attraction and also how to apply the Law of Attraction.

What Is The Law Of Attraction? – How Can It Help Me?

Firstly we need to understand what the Law of Attraction is. According to Wikipedia, the Law of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person’s life. So Let’s put it this way, you want a particular car. Your dream car. You will do anything to get it but you know it’s not something that will come easy, you will have to work overtime and make sacrifices and your thoughts are ‘ I can’t do this’ or ‘that’s not possible’ you instantly fill your brain with doubt. Filling your brain with doubt will instantly put you off even trying to buy that car. Dream car?

An example of attracting the law is, say you want a particular car. Your dream car. You will do anything to get it, you know it’s within reach but you need to maybe change a few things or change your approach towards getting the car. You have a positive mindset therefore achieving that goal seems so much easier. Yet a negative mindset will always provide you with a battle from the start.

The Law of Attraction will not help you. You need to help yourself and the law will take effect. Keeping a positive mindset with everything you do is extremely difficult. However, if you can find a way to think positive as much as possible, good things will start to take effect.

My Steps On How To Make The Law Of Attraction Work For You

  1. Be aware of your mind set and feelings

Always be aware of what’s going on in your mind. If yo are feeling mad, sad, depressed, negative etc then these sad and negative things will happen. How many time shave you had a bad day because one thing went wrong and you dwell upon it then boom something else goes wrong? More often than not right? How many times have you sat down at the end of the day and thought I had a really good day? That’s because something positive happened and you vibe off it and had a positive mindset for the rest of the day.

2. Look at yourself in the mirror

This may sound a bit cringe or cliche but it works. Take time to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you can achieve what you want to achieve. You are good enough to go where you want to go in life and this will fill you with the belief that you can achieve anything you want to achieve.

3. See it, Visualise what you want

You have to visualise your dreams and your wants otherwise it’s just a pipe dream. I’ll use the car example again. Go and see one, research one. Picture yourself driving that car. But most importantly, keep it to yourself. Telling people you want this etc will only add pressure for you to get it. Things take time. Visualise it and action it.

4. Be aware of negative thoughts

Not every single thought will be positive so be aware of the negatives and positively think how you can turn the negative into a positive. For example, Your bills are piling up, credit card bills, furniture or car finance is taking it’s toll on your finances. What’s the positive? It’s quite simple, the positive thought, is how can I take action to get these bills paid or at least how can I make this work for me? A simple phone call to the credit company, can we sort a payment plan? Can I pay more off than I am now? Or even can I ask for some financial advice please? What’s the worse that can happen? They want their money and you are showing willing to find a solution that suits everyone.

5. Be happy & grateful for what you have

Always be grateful where you are.

Do you have a family?

Are you healthy?

Do you have people who love you?

Do you have running water?

Do you have a roof over your head?

All of these things are more are taken for granted. I am also guilty of this. Everyone wants the ‘shiny’ things in life and there’s nothing wrong with that, however, now and then it’s good to sit down and look around you and be grateful for what you have.

Examples of Positive Thinking

As per point 4. I thought it would be helpful to list some examples of positive thoughts

  • Your car fails it’s MOT/breaks down/costs a lot of money to fix

Trust me I have been here, your car has an issue that’s going to cost you. You feel like driving it into a lake and leaving it there. However, the positive thought is, you can drive, you can go anywhere that’s accessible by car not just in your own country but you can also cross into other countries. There are people who cannot drive for whatever reason who would love that freedom. Get the car fixed, put it to the back of your mind. You’re back on the road now, it’s done the problem is fixed (if you have a good mechanic 🙂 )

  • Your job doesn’t pay enough money

Again, I’ve been here myself. You sit there and think ‘my job doesn’t pay well’. Well, at least you have a job. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of unemployed out there. If your salary allows you feed yourself and your family, fuels your car and pays your mortgage / rent and bills then you are extremely fortunate. However, I get it, we all want more. I was the same, I wanted more luxuries. Well if that’s the same for you, then check out how I earn legit money online here.

My Experience Of The Law Of Attraction

My personal experience of the law of attraction came when it came to buying my first home. It’s a common myth in the UK that you need a 10% deposit to be able to buy a house. I needed a 3 bed house and where I live (Oxfordshire UK) the average 3 bedroom houses around my area is £350k + therefore I would need at least 35k to buy one. Back then I didn’t have this amount of money and it took it’s toll on my mental health as I wanted to own my own home so bad and be able to out my family in a secure position by owning property.

I was constantly stressing about not having enough. Until, my boss at the time said to me “what’s stopping you form just inquiring with a broker? What’s the worst thing that can happen, they tell you don’t have enough? Well at least you know where you stand”. So, I spoke to a broker. I Informed him of how much I had and we looked into it. He informed me I needed roughly just an extra £1500 and I was away. I knew I had to pull out all the stops to get there, I was so close to owning my own home so I had nothing but positive thoughts and believe me, I saved that £1500 quicker than I’ve ever saved any money before.

Final Thoughts

To conclude, the law of attraction is certainly something that works with positive thoughts. However, it’s a common misconception that the law of attraction is some kind of spiritual being that you can summon. That’s not true, it’s all in the mind. Be positive and receive positive happenings.

  1. Hi Russell,

I’ll openly admit that the Law of Attraction is something that I’ve always been fascinated with, but also something I’ve never fully followed through on.

I am a great believer in the power of positive thinking, and that mindset typically leads us to success or failure.

I have become far more aware of my negative thinking patterns and I’ve even started keeping a gratitude journal in recent years.

However, when things are going against me, I can’t but help return to my former negative beliefs.

I’d love to hear how you personally deal with negative situations or experiences in your life.

Hi Partha, thank you for your comment. Believe me, I am no super human, I have my bad days. However, I have always found that things are sent your way to test you. To see what type of person you are. My son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes nearly 3 years ago. It knocked me for six. It had a huge affect on my mental well being. After months of negative thoughts I decided enough was enough, it was affecting me and my family. Everytime I felt a negative thought, I tried to find a positive. For example, ok my son has diabetes, but he still goes to school, still plays sports, still has a girlfirend (ha) and is a normal kid and even with his condition he is a healthy child and therefore I am blessed. There is always a negative and always a positive, you just have to try and decipher between the 2.

    Hi Russell,

Well written! When your desire to achieve something is constantly fueled by positivity and good thought process, no one can stop the person.

Reflecting upon yourself and taking action to change is necessary to bring yourself to the next level.

And yes! Gratitude. This is often forgotten. Being humble and appreciative of current state is a good start to seeing the good things.

    Great article!

  3. The Law of Attraction makes so much sense and I have seen it applied for success in so many ways. Athletes visualize victories far in advance of the event. Jim Carrey used it to excel as an actor. People that visualize a muscular body are able to build additional muscle mass without lifting weights. The Law of Attraction is so powerful as your body and your mind work together to make positive thoughts and actions occur. Thanks for sharing this valuable info.

  4. C.N. says:

Thank you so much for this enlightening article, Russell! I fully believe that positive thinking breeds positive results (and vice versa). Just earlier today, my cousin had a job interview, and she believed in her heart that she would get the job. Fast forward to 30 minutes ago, she has given me the fantastic news that she got the job, it will pay more than she thought it would, and she can start at the end of the week. Thank you, Jesus! Praise the Lord! God is good! Our thoughts will always have an effect on how we prepare for things-interviews, tests, relationships, etc. Let’s learn to be happy! Haha God bless you!

Hi, thanks for your comment. There we go, proof that the law of attraction works. I am delighted to hear your cousin put the law of attraction in to practice and that it actually worked. What great news during difficult times!

I’ve tried reading about the Law of Attraction and usually given up half-way through mostly because of the incessant repetitive gushing saccharine-sweet stream of words that seemed to skirt around vague concepts without getting down to business. This was the first article that I’ve read on this subject that made sense to me. You have managed to provide a thorough rational explanation. Thanks for this.
    Best regards

  6. Great post! I am obsessed with the law of attraction and how I can make it work for me in my day to day life, so I really enjoyed this article. Great way to spend a few minutes this evening while the boys are watching football!
